Put Action Behind Your Faith
1 Thessalonians 1:3
We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 1:11
With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith.
How Can We Put Faith In Action?
If you believe in God and have faith in His Word, then God wants you act on your faith. Here a a few verses that call us to put our faith in action:
- 1 Timothy 6:11 - pursue ... faith
- 2 Corinthians 13:5 - "Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves"
- 2 Corinthians 8:7 - "excel in everything—in faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness"
- Ephesians 6:16 - "take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one."
- 1 Timothy 6:11 - "Fight the good fight of the faith."
- 2 Peter 1:5 - "make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;"
- 1 Peter 5:9 - "Resist him (the devil), standing firm in the faith"
- 1 Timothy 4:12 - "set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity"
- 2 Timothy 2:22 - "Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace"

Hebrews 11:28
By faith he kept the Passover and the sprinkling of blood, so that the destroyer of the firstborn would not touch the firstborn of Israel.
Matthew 9:2
