Put Action Behind Your Faith
1 Thessalonians 1:3 NIV We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ.
2 Thessalonians 1:11 NIV With this in mind, we constantly pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of his calling, and that by his power he may fulfill every good purpose of yours and every act prompted by your faith.
How Can We Put Faith In Action?
If you believe in God and have faith in His Word, then God wants you act on your faith.
Here a a few verses that call us to put our faith in action:
- 2 Corinthians 13:5 – “Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves”
- 2 Timothy 2:22 – “Flee the evil desires of youth, and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace”
- 1 Peter 5:9 – “Resist him (the devil), standing firm in the faith”
- 1 Timothy 4:12 – “set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity”
- 2 Corinthians 8:7 – “excel in everything擁n faith, in speech, in knowledge, in complete earnestness”
- 2 Peter 1:5 – “make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge;”
- Ephesians 6:16 – “take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one.”
