Fear of the Lord
This section will be expanded. The thought of fearing God brings up alot of questions. Doesn’t God love us, why are we commanded to fear God?Looking at scripture we will look at why we should fear God, the benefits, the consequences of not, and the promises to those that do.
Robert B. Strimple said this about the fear of the Lord, “It is the convergence of awe, reverence, adoration, honor, worship, confidence, thankfulness, love, and fear.”

Deuteronomy 6 is definitely a chapter you should read and reread many times. It gives you insight into why the Bible is here. I like the promise here that, if you keep God’s commands and decrees you may enjoy long life.
