Proverbs 6:6-8
Go to the ant, you sluggard; consider its ways and be wise! It has no commander, no overseer or ruler, yet it stores its provisions in summer and gathers its food at harvest. (NIV)
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. (King James Version)

Comments: Things I can learn from the ant. They are self-motivated. They see what needs to be done and they do it. There is no wasted time or effort. They know that if they don't work, they don't eat. If I can work, and don't, should I eat? No one is helping them out. They are self-sustaining. They have a clear vision of what needs to be accomplished and they get to it, one step at a time. And, because of their focus and clear vision for survival, they are enabled to carry more and do more than anyone would think they would be able to do. I believe the business world calls that synergy. I believe when I am focused on my tasks and there is no wasted effort, I am able to do more than I normally would. Then, the rewards. They reap what they sow. The hard work brings them a harvest every time to meet their needs. At a time in our society, with the internet, every person is looking for a quick and easy way to riches. I've been guilty, you probably have too. I believe all of us can learn something from the ant. Some things may come easy at first, but disciplined steady work is what will sustain. - Kevin H.
