Quote of the Day

Widen Your Circle of Compassion

A human being is part of a whole, called by us the Universe, a part limited in time and space. He experiences himself, his thoughts and feelings, as something separated from the rest–a kind of optical delusion of his consciousness. This delusion is a kind of prison for us, restricting us to our personal desires and to affection for a few persons nearest us. Our task must be to free ourselves from this prison by widening our circles of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature in its beauty.
Albert Einstein quote

The last sentence of this quote embodies one of the reasons for this website. Most of us impact very few people during the day in comparison to how many people are in the world. Through this website, you can impact many people. Share your thoughts, what you have learned, recommend a similar quote, or those “Ah, ha” moments. We want you to share them with us and the Internet. I personally want to “widen my circle of compassion”. By commenting on quotes and verses you can help change people’s lives and improve their relationship with God. How cool is that!

Goals – Stick to It

We can do anything we want to do if we stick to it long enough.
Helen Keller

This is a great quote, but I think it means even more who it is coming from – Helen Keller. If you are not familiar with her story, she got sick at 19 months old and went deaf and blind. Yes, both deaf and blind. Her story is truly amazing.

Here is a little information on how she lived out this quote:
Determined to communicate with others as conventionally as possible, Keller learned to speak, and spent much of her life giving speeches and lectures. She learned to “hear” people’s speech by reading their lips with her hands—her sense of touch had become extremely supple. She became proficient at using Braille and reading sign language with her hands as well.Determined to communicate with others as conventionally as possible, Keller learned to speak, and spent much of her life giving speeches and lectures. She learned to “hear” people’s speech by reading their lips with her hands—her sense of touch had become extremely supple. She became proficient at using Braille and reading sign language with her hands as well. She became an author, political activist, and lecturer. She was the first deaf and blind person to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree.

What do want to accomplish? What are your goals? What are your dreams?

Today, get excited once again and listen to what Helen Keller said. Decide what you want to accomplish, then decide to “stick to it” until you see your goal realized.
